250g Prawn | any size, with or without tail
Heat 4 Tbs of oil karahi; add ½ tsp brown mustard seed. When it starts popping, add 150g onion (chopped fine); fry for 2 min. Add 150g tomato and fry till the oil starts to separate. Add ½ tsp turmeric powder and salt to taste. Fry for 15 seconds. Add 4 tsp classic sambar podi, ½ tsp red chili powder, ½ tsp black pepper powder, 1 Tbs tamarind paste and ½ cup water. Bring to boil. Lower heat and add the prawn and cook for 2 minutes. Serve with hot plain rice.
